10 Minutes After You Eat
Walking after you eat is one of the most underrated things you can do for your body in midlife.
Not a 45-minute cardio session... 10 minutes after each meal. That's it.
When you move right after eating, your muscles pull glucose out of your bloodstream instead of letting it spike and crash, which is the crash that has you standing in the pantry at 3pm wondering why you're starving again.
And when your stress response is already running hot, this is one of the few things that helps without asking your body for more. It's the habit I lean on hardest when my schedule gets full... I walk after dinner most nights, usually with my dog, and most nights just around the block.
Everything else in my day can fall apart and that one still happens.
